The simplest things in life often bring the greatest amount of joy and peace!
Get some VITAMIN D - try spending 2 to 5 minutes in the shaded sun at lunchtime.
Experts believe Vitamin D deficiency may be a factor in heart disease, high blood pressure and metabolic syndrome, increasing the risk of severe heart disease by up to 50%.
Not to mention fresh air and a change of office scenery helps to rejuvenate the brain and bring a new perspective when you return to your desk.
Take care of your ticker by making sure you get some sun and don't forget your sun block.
When was the last time you went for a walk down the park?  A morning, afternoon or lunchtime walk helps you to get rid of some of those unwanted kilojoules, tone those legs and help you to appreciate life and the beauty that nature has to offer.
Getting out into nature brings a sense of joy and balance to your life.  Breathing in fresh air oxygenates the brain which brings healing and helps with clarity of the mind and letting go or detaching from the days stress.
Get rid of those afternoon blues!  Try an invigorating herbal peppermint tea instead of the adrenalin attacking coffee (although I do love my morning flat white).  The properties of peppermint help to invigorate the mind and bring mental clarity.  It also aids in the digestion of your lunch and is a soothing tonic for the liver helping to calm anger.
Along with the tea eat some nuts particularly walnuts for they are brain food ... if you look at them they even look like the human brain.  This delicious nut is an excellent source of Omega-3 essential fatty acids and has many potential health benefits ranging from cardiovascular protection, to the promotion of better cognitive function, to anti-inflammatory benefits helpful in asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory skin diseases such as eczema and psoriasis.
In addition, walnuts contain an antioxidant compound called ellagic acid that supports the immune system and appears to have several anticancer properties.
So make the most of these easy to use tips and enjoy your life.
